An interesting company name for a skincare brand! Although I’ve heard of this brand, I’ve never tried any of their products. The packaging is modern and elegant and I like the metal tube. This Danish company was launched in 2015 and they appear to have a fantastic range of skincare products and have great green credentials.

Ecooking Hand Cream can be used by the entire family and by all skin types. The hand cream has a fresh scent of jasmine, grape and orange flower.
Pssst! We often hear from customers, who have tried the hand cream that it isn’t greasy and it’s quickly absorbed into the skin.
First Impressions: The cream absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave an overly greasy residue on the hands. My hands were left feeling softer, including the areas with harder skin. The fragrance has a pleasant botanical aroma.

My first Sunday Riley product! I seem to remember that Glossybox had a limited edition Sunday Riley box a few years ago, but it was soon after I had become a subscriber and hadn’t even heard of Sunday Riley back then. If they released a Sunday Riley box now, I would definitely try to get my hands on it! This is a tiny 5ml sample though, Sadly, there won’t be much opportunity to test how good it is.

HOW TO USE
WE RECOMMEND: Apply to clean skin as an exfoliating serum, morning or night.
STANDARD PRECAUTION: Use only as directed. Avoid contact with the eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a Health Care professional.
SUN ALERT: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
KEY INGREDIENTS
GLYCOLIC ACID: Glycolic Acid is the smallest AHA, which means that it penetrates deeper into the skin than other AHAs. Because of this, glycolic acid is ideal for deeper, surface exfoliation, clearer-looking skin, and the appearance of smaller pores. By dissolving and sweeping away dead skin cells and excess oil, the signs of dull skin and congestion are cleared. The look of wrinkles and fine lines are visibly smoothed. Further treatments, serums, and creams are able to sink into the skin better after Good Genes application.
POTASSIUM LACTATE: A member of the lactic acid family, potassium lactate provides smooth, even, and gentle exfoliation while also boosting hydration levels.
First Impressions: I tested it on the back of my hand. The product absorbs well and quickly. It has a very subtle scent, which, weirdly, reminds me of washing up liquid! I am looking forward to seeing if this works on my skin type.

How cute! This is a tiny sample of a sleeping mask, 10ml. Glow Recipe has been all over the beauty influencers’ channels. I seem to remember this being a well-respected product and other US beauty subscription boxes having Glow Recipe products in them, although not this small! Maybe Glow Recipe are being cautious with the British marketplace?

It’ll quickly become your go-to face mask for glowing skin.
In an independent consumer testing panel of 32 women age 21 to 73: – 90% of women agreed their skin felt more hydrated immediately after applying
After 4 weeks of use: – 96% of women agreed their skin appeared radiant and brighter – 92% of women agreed their skin appeared to be glowing – 96% of women agreed their skin felt more bouncy
*Since our Watermelon Mask is made with real watermelon, you may find real fruit chunks in the formula.
First Impressions: The fragrance is heavenly! Having tested it on the back of my hand, I can tell that the product absorbs well, leaving the skin feeling cooled and smoothed. With such a small sample, I can’t tell how many applications it will provide, but I am looking forward to trying it out. My one reservation is how, if advised to apply a generous layer, will the product be pillow-proof! I’ll have to let you know!

Ooh! This looks like an interesting product. I immediately wondered if the coffee grounds were recycled, but the packaging and website do not say. So I have posed the question directly to Frank Body on Twitter. I would imagine that if the product does have an ecological benefit, that they would be shouting about it, so I’m guessing the coffee is ground specifically for this product. The packaging does not appear to be recyclable either. Shame! With all that said, though, the product looks new and innovative and the ingredients and skin benefits seem great. This is a 20g sample size, but there looks to be enough for at least a couple of applications.

Step 4: Rinse and remember you’re a babe, no matter what.
First Impressions: I can’t give a first impression until I’ve tried it, but I am looking forward to trying it as I have stretch marks and cellulite, so I will be interested to see if it makes any difference. I am a natural sceptic, so I’m not expecting miracles! I will update this post, once I have something to add.

Found it! I could not find box number ten, until it was suggested to me that it might be hidden underneath another box. And there it was, underneath box number 25! So, after the initial excitement that I had received a palette, I discovered that it was a highlighter palette. Meh!
Zoeva Screen Queen Highlighting Powder Palette
Zoeva Screen Queen Highlighting Powder Palette
Glossybox description: Filled with three velvety smooth highlighters, including a champagne, lilac and peach hue, this palette allows you to create the ultimate ethereal glow. Apply the highly-pigmented powders onto the areas of your face that light naturally hits (think cheekbones, browbones and Cupid’s bow). RRP / £15.00 SHOP / https://www.beautybay.com/p/zoeva/screen-queen-highlighting-palette/
Box description: Superior pigmentation. Easy to blend.
Beauty Bay website description: A three-shade highlighter palette. Velvety smooth and richly pigmented, Screen Queen Highlighting Palette is a classy addition to your collection. Channelling the glamour of old Hollywood’s beauty icons, this radiant trio blends effortlessly with the skin to deliver an enviable pearlescent finish. Palette contains:
Aloof Beauty – Pearlescent champagne
Absolutely Flawless – Pearlescent lilac
Pearls And Fine Silks – Pearlescent bronze with peach undertones
First Impressions: The colours remind me of the Huda Beauty ‘Winter Solstice’ highlighter palette we received in the Glossybox Advent Calendar two years ago. That remains barely used. There’s something about these bright colours that puts me off. It appears to be a palette which wants to be all things to all people. Unless I use the shades as eyeshadows, I doubt I would get any use out of the darker two. Upon further investigation, this Zoeva palette was released two years ago and is no longer on the Zoeva website. Beauty Bay and Debenhams have it on sale. So is this just a filler product? I would have thought the Advent Calendar would be reserved for products which are new to the market, requiring promotion. I am a tad confused. This palette will now remain unswatched, destined to end up in a future giveaway.

How fortuitous. My current eyebrow pencil is running low and I wisely put off buying a new one just in case there was one in this advent calendar! The pencil’s lid has a built-in sharpener and the other end has a spoolie, which makes the whole process a lot easier than trying to dig around in my makeup box for either tool. It will also save me keeping my old pencil for the spoolie. This product is cruelty free and vegan.
Box description: There is no description or shade name.
MUA website description: Buildable brow shade to line, define & fill with ease. Complete with a sharpener & spooly for the ultimate brow definition at any time.
First Impressions: The pencil has no shade name on it, but looking at the website I would guess this was the mid brown shade. This makes sense as you can press lightly or firmly to create lighter or darker lines. I broke the tip off to test the sharpener and it works really well. The product is fairly smudge-proof, but not entirely. My eyebrows are quite dark and they are fairly full with only one or two sparse areas. I found the colour was a good match and the forumla was creamy enough to fill in those sparse areas efficiently, but it did flake. I am used to using micro pencils so it did feel a tad bulky and imprescise. However, once I used the spoolie, it corrected any mistakes and swept any flakes away. I would say this product is well worth the £1.50 price tag.

Spotlight Stationery and Spotlight Seasons TRIPLE unboxing!
I love stationery as much as I love makeup! These Spotlight Stationery boxes are my absolute favourite to dig into, so this blog post is a bit more in-depth than I normally go for unboxings. Unfortunately, when I filmed this video I got the monthly boxes the wrong way round (!), but it doesn’t really matter. You can watch the video below and beyond that, I have taken some lovely photos of the products with links to the items and illustrators. (Some links are affiliate links.)

I had no issues with using the pens. The white pen looks a little wishy washy on the black highlighter, but I’m not sure if the ink is in full flow yet or if the highlighter ink affected it. Here’s a photo of all of them (apologies for my terrible handwriting!)
Pen and pencils included (apart from the Cressida Bell pencil)
Sad News…
Upon opening this, my first ever Spotlight Seasons box, I discovered that this was to be the final box in this collection. It’s such a shame as there are no other Stationery subscription boxes that I have discovered that are such good quality as these. Hopefully Spotlight Stationery will occasionally issue some exceptional quality Limited Edition boxes which will serve the same audience.
Announcement letter
Let me know what you think of these boxes in the comments below. Have you subscribed to Spotlight Stationery or Spotlight Seasons? Are there any other stationery boxes you would like to see me unbox?

Bath Bombs are great! They are mesmerising to watch and luxurious if they are a good size. Unfortunately, my mobility problems won’t allow me to use a bath as I find it extremely difficult to climb in and out, so I will place this bath fizzer into a future giveaway.
Bubble T Cosmetics Winter Berries Bath Bomb Fizzer
Bubble T Cosmetics Winter Berries Bath Bomb Fizzer
Box description: Make bathtime extra special with this exclusive Winter Berries bath fizzer. Sweet, fruity and packed with berry scents, you will be relaxed in no time with this festive treat. Directions: Drop under warm running water. Step in and brew for as long as required.
Bubble T Cosmetics website description: As seen in this year’s Glossybox Luxury Beauty Advent Calendar, this limited edition bath bomb fizzer is the perfect way to relax this season! In our new exclusive Winter Berries fragrance, indulge and refresh with this sweet bauble-shaped bath fizzer that’ll soothe away your stresses in no time…
First Impressions: It’s a shame the product comes packaged in non-recyclable plastic. I think Bubble T Cosmetics could learn something from Lush in terms of their packaging. The bath fizzer is a good size at 6cm in diameter approx.
Also, due to the reasons above, I am unable to test this product for you. However, if you enter my future giveaway, you may be able to test it for yourself!

There was a certain amount of inevitability that the Glossybox Advent Calendar would contain at least one product from their recently launched Glossybox Skincare range! I received an Eye Boost Cream in my August 2020 subscription box and have been using it every morning and it performs as expected. I can’t have enough moisturiser and look forward to including this 3-in-1 moisturiser in my daily skincare routine. The packaging is in a beautiful pink with black text, not dissimilar to our Rhubarb and Burble colour scheme, so what’s not to like!
